Pink Warrior

“Pink Warrior” is a jaguar made by Gabriela Gil in collaboration with New York City passerbys in Times Square. The idea was to paint the jaguar almost entirely with the hands as a way to bring people together in a playful and spontaneous way. The end result is a sitting jaguar with a textured pink background, dark purple spots people in New York helped add during a live painting session at Times Square, and a fierce look that looks straight ahead with strength, determination, and courage.
